This charming seaside village is in an area of outstanding natural beauty along the Heritage Coast of North Devon on the edge of Exmoor. It is directly on “The South West Coast Path” (the views from which are absolutely breathtaking) and the famous “Tarka Trail“. Our historic village is home to a wide variety of inns, cafes, restaurants, shops and services many of which are right on the seafront.
The ‘seaside’ beach is a mixture of sand, pebbles and a fascinating rocky shore which is fantastic for beachcombing. At low tide there are large areas of firm clean sand. There are a number of other secluded bays within a short walk from the village.
The area has an abundance of sealife on and around the seashore plus wildlife on Exmoor, to which you can travel to well known villages such as Lynmouth and Lynton.
Combe Martin is an ideal base for walking, surfing, fishing, horse riding, golfing and cycling.
The nearest towns are Ilfracombe which is famous for its Victorian Tunnels and harbour and Barnstaple is famous for its pannier market.
